Marina Keane
 

Marina Keane joined Michael Houlihan & Partners in 2002 having obtained an Honours Degree in Law and Accounting from the University of Limerick. She served her apprenticeship in this office and joined the Roll of Solicitors in January 2007.

Marina works in the firm’s litigation department where she deals with litigation at District, Circuit and High Court levels from both a prosecution and defence point of view. Marina has experience in dealing with personal injuries litigation, family law,employment law and debt collection matters. She holds a Certificate in District Court Proceedings from the Law Society of Ireland and in her District Court practice she prosecutes matters on behalf of the local authority and also acts for defendants in road traffic and other matters.Marina has a particular interest in Judicial Review and also holds a Certificate in Judicial Review from the Law Society of Ireland.Marina also advises in relation to litigation arising out of commercial disputes including litigation regarding section 205 of the Companies Acts, disputes involving shareholder agreements and competition law issues. She also has experience in dealing with equity matters and disputes over property in the Circuit Court and High Court.

Marina is an internal auditor with Michael Houlihan & Partners and assisted in attaining the ISO: 9001/2008 (NSAI – Quality Mark) accreditation for the firm.

Marina volunteers with the Free Legal Advice panel in Ennis. She is involved in a number of voluntary and charitable organisations in her local community and is a Director of Kilkee Housing Association Ltd. and secretary of Friends of Regina House.
