While often seen as a victimless crime, insurance fraud sees hundreds of millions of euros taken from funds set aside by insurance companies to pay valid claims each year.
A High Court judge recently dismissed personal injury claims by two people, saying they were not credible witnesses and upheld an earlier Limerick Circuit Court judgment in which the cases were dismissed.
